Pumwani Maternity Hospital child and maternal healthcare facilities are set for a facelift following the donation of 100 million shillings to the health facility. Nairobi County Deputy Governor Njoroge Muchiri says the funds raised through partnerships, will be pumped towards improving facilities and services at the hospital to enhance the quality of life for patients and improve access to services. Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick who is in the country to celebrate the organisation’s centenary was at the hospital where he emphasized the need to support vulnerable populations. He also pledged to work with the health facility to procure a mobile blood donation van, support staff capacity building, and train community health promoters.
