Chief Justice Martha Koome has vowed to stay put as Chief Justice. Koome insists that the constitution protects her office and that there are no valid grounds for her removal from office. this comes despite the former president of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Nelson Havi, filing a petition with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) seeking the removal of the entire supreme court judge-bench through recommendations to the president. Havi wants JSC to recommend to the head of state a tribunal to investigate the judges' conduct.
