A section of leaders in Tana River County have urged herders in the region to embrace peace and dialogue in resolving their differences. The leaders who attributed the recent clashes to inter-clan conflict over pasture for their livestock stressed the need for alternative solutions to resource-based conflicts. They called on community elders to lead dialogues and peace resolution efforts to help curb recurring clashes in the region.
