A section of stakeholders in Malindi, Kilifi County has called for a multi-sectoral approach in implementing targeted interventions, such as providing training for Malindi Municipality's solid waste managers and environmental officers on effective waste management practices. Speaking at the Wafanyakazi Mashinani training program in Malindi, the stakeholders highlighted that the initiative is designed to train supervisors on proper waste segregation and disposal which includes managing waste from household collection points, storage, and transportation to designated dumpsites. These efforts aim to foster a cleaner, more sustainable environment, ultimately boosting Malindi’s reputation as a top tourist destination.
