The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) selection panel has assured the country that there will be a new electoral body in office by the end of April this year. The selection body noted that over 300 people have so far applied for positions as commissioners ahead of the application deadline on the 15th of February. According to the panel chairperson Dr Nelson Makanda, the culmination of the process will be an honourable commission that will foster democracy.
