Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, and three co-accused will be sentenced on Thursday, February 13, 202,5 for embezzling over 500 million shilling from Kiambu county government while he served as governor. They were found guilty of defrauding the county through a road tender in 2018. The court cited the case as a classic example of conflict of interest downplaying the theory of political witch hunt as displayed by Waititu’s defence team.
