Tharaka Nithi residents who have registered under the Social Health Authority are set to access free healthcare in some facilities. Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki says the county has waived outpatient payments in Level 3 hospitals, however, residents will have to pay for inpatient services. Njuki highlighted that the county government aims to increase the number of residents who register on the SHA platform from the current 27%.
