The Europen Union Election Mission has raised concern over what it terms as slow implementation of recommendations after the 2022 general election.Chief of Mission Ivan Stefanec said the mission outlined 21 recommendations seven of which were termed as priority, however there is still no tangible progress towards attainment of reforms to ensure transparent, inclusive and peaceful elections in 2027. While condoling with Kenyans on the loss of the former IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati, Stefanec regretted that the appointment of the chair and a commission which was one of the priorities has not been attained yet the country is halfway the electoral cycle.
