Makundi hayo ya utetezi wa haki za raia pia yaliapa kuandamana nje ya ubalozi wa Uganda humu nchini leo alasiri ambako watawasilisha ombi la kushinikiza kuachiliwa kwake wakidai ananyanyaswa kisiasa kamba haki zake za kidemokrasia zinakiukwa. Walitoa wito kwa serikali ya Kenya na jamii ya kimataifa kuingilia kati kuishinikiza serikali ya Uganda kumwachilia Besigye.
