The Head of public service Felix Koskei has challenged the public service and the salaries and remuneration commissions to design frameworks that enhance productivity in the public sector as well as tame the rising wage bill. Speaking during a joint consultative meeting with the leaders of the two commissions, Koskei challenged both commissions to ensure internal efficiency and harmonization of pay as they work towards building partnerships. The two commission`s chairpersons pledged to identify areas of partnerships and collaboration for prudent use of public funds.
