The government will prioritise revitalisation of the agriculture and livestock sectors to beef up the job creation strategy as part of its economic transformation agenda. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, who hosted an interministerial consultative forum on the agriculture value chains that brought together state departments of crop development, trade, investments, water and cooperatives said the government was making progress in establishment of the first cohort of county aggregation and industrial parks, markets and export processing zones to enable farmers and livestock keepers derive more income from their products.
