Members of the Nairobi County Assembly paralysed committee meetings on Tuesday to protest the Controller of Budget's order stopping governors from issuing bursaries to needy students.
The MCAs started their protest by storming the office of Assembly Speaker Kennedy Ng’ondi.
According to the MCAs, many needy children who were benefiting from the bursaries are stranded at home following the order.
