Sexual abuse in sport is 'almost in every country not just Africa' - BBC Africa
After many decades of waiting, victims of a former national youth coach in Gabon have been relieved to see a lifetime ban from the game handed to Patrick Eyi, popularly known as Capello. The suspension was handed out by football's world governing body for what it called 'repeated acts of sexual abuse against multiple players'.

The investigation followed complaints from at least four male players who accused Capello of abusing them when they were minor. Fifa specified a 15-year period for his abuse, even though his appalling acts are understood to have gone on for longer. Two years ago, the BBC's African investigation unit - #BBCAfricaEye - reported on this case, detailing the abuse as it did so. A warning this recording gives details of the sexual abuse that took place which some listeners may find upsetting.
