Kericho Governor Erick Mutai has warned doctors working in public facilities and their private practices they lose risking their jobs owing to perennial absenteeism. Speaking at Kiprugut Chumo Stadium in Kericho during the issuance of employment letters to 556 health workers, Governor Mutai expressed concern over the growing trend of doctors juggling between public and private practices jeopardizing service delivery in county hospitals, urging them to prioritize their public service duties or face the sack. The governor said it's unacceptable that about 75% of county-employed doctors are working as specialists in private hospitals
