In a rally held at Kisumu, Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga received blessing and prayers from Luo elders.
Raila says he sat down with President Uhuru and revisited the history of Late Kenyatta and Late Jaramogi and had a handshake to bring tribal peace between Luos and Kikuyus
"We met together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and we talked for a very long time, we revisited the history of Jaramogi and Kenyatta and the division that was instilled and how that polarized the relationship between kikuyus and Luos and we said Kikuyus and Luos are not enemies, it is politics that has divided them, and we agreed if you stand this side, l stand that side we can bring Kenya together" Raila Odinga
Raila was in the company of his wife Ida Odinga, his running mate Martha Karua, Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o, Agriculture CS Peter Munya, Suna East MP and Azimio's Secretary General Junet Mohammed, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino among other Azimio la umoja leaders.
