Pope Francis: Africans recall the ‘pope of everyone’ - BBC Africa
BBC News Africa took to the streets of different African capitals to hear the views of regular citizen and people from the Church in various countries to find their views on the legacy left by Pope Francis, who died on Monday April 21, at 88. To some he was the “pope of everyone” who did not make distinctions between rich and poor and who made the Catholic faith more inclusive, reaching out to the underprivileged and to migrants. He was also remembered as champion in the fight against climate change and as someone who didn’t bulge in the face of criticism.
