Father Chinedu Achusim, Association of Nigerian priests, religious and seminarians in Rome (NIPRELS) , an association of clerics from the West African nation based in the Italian capital, spoke passionately to @BBCAfrica about Pope Francis’ stance on Africa.
“Those words of his ‘hands off Africa’ will continue to re-echo,” says father Achusim. He added that “the Pope was deeply prophetic with his words” when he said that “Africa is not [a continent] to be striped of”.
