Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called for better relations and cooperation between the church and the state. Addressing the faithful at marani catholic parish in kisii county, kindiki said the government respects the voice of the church on governance in the country. Kindiki's calls come in the wake of a barrage of criticism by the religious leaders on the implementation of government programmes and banning of politicians from using the pulpit to advance their political agenda.
