Marakwet Landslide: Death toll hits 26 as rescue efforts continue

The death toll in the Chesongoch landslide in Elgeiyo Marakwet County has risen to 26. This is after four more bodies were retrieved during the ongoing rescue mission, on Sunday. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has confirmed that evacuation of affected families to safer ground has commenced.
