Kasipul politician and businessman Philip Aroko was finally arraigned at JKIA on Friday afternoon, more than 24 hours after his arrest, in connection with the murder of Kasipul member of parliament, Charles Ong'ondo Were. The delay in presenting Aroko before the court sparked courtroom drama on Thursday and for the better part of Friday, as his legal team demanded to know his whereabouts. Aroko will remain in custody for seven days, while other suspects linked to the case have been remanded for 20 days.
