    This week, the countries that joined forces to defeat Nazi Germany in World War II, celebrated 80 years of the unconditional surrender of the German forces, that put an end to the conflict on May 8. But the date that meant a victory for freedom in European nations, amongst them, France, is a bleak date for Algeria, the North African nation which was once a French colony.
