A section of KTDA directors demand vetting of private factories in the Western Rift Valley region

The Kenya Tea Development Agency has urged the Kenya Tea Development Agency to carry out an immediate audit of all the private tea companies operating within the Western Rift Valley region. According to KTDA board members meeting in Kisumu, the operations of some of these companies allegedly contravene established regulations, resulting in reduced bonus earnings for farmers and undermining the growth of the tea sector in the region.
