The family of the late former Provincial Commissioner, Isaiah Cheluget, now says it is in talks with the government to dispose of their father's 5800 acres land in Narok South, which is earmarked for the planned resettlement of more than 13,000 families evicted from the Mau Forest. While supporting recent remarks by the president over the land, the Family led by Ambassador Nancy Kirui is urging Kenyans to ignore one Moses Kipkirui Cheluget, who has threatened legal action over the planned resettlement exercise.
