Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki now says that the government is not in competition with the Catholic Church in delivering services to Kenyans especially in sectors such as Education, Health and Social development. The DP said the sole responsibility of any government is to provide services to the citizenry, while other entities complement the efforts. Speaking during a Thanksgiving Holy Mass at St. Theresa Riiji Parish, Meru Diocese, Kindiki at the same time called on the political leaders to accept and adhere to guiding principles on donations by different churches.
