The National Assembly Justice and Legal Affairs Committee has vetted all seven nominated Commissioners of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. The nominee for Chairperson, Erastus Edung Ethekon, a former Turkana County Attorney, was put to task on how he will execute his duties impartially, considering his close links to State House Deputy Chief of Staff Josphat Nanok. Ethekon defended his suitability to head the electoral agency, saying his relationship with the former Turkana County Governor was professional and will not affect his performance.
