The Gaza-bound convoy crossing North Africa to defy Israel blockade - BBC Africa
A vehicle convoy of over 1,500 volunteers from Tunisia and Algeria is making its way across North Africa to deliver aid to Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade. The 100-vehicle convoy left Tunis on Monday and is now in Libya. The organisers say they aim to cross into Gaza at the Rafah crossing in Egypt – although it’s not clear whether Egyptian authorities will allow them to enter. Israel says any attempt to breach the blockade is ‘unlawful.’
