Telco service provider Safaricom is on its way to hitting the 1 trillion mark in market capitalization for the first time in nearly three years. This follows Thursday's trading, which saw the telecom giant’s share price climb to 25.50 shillings in intra-day trading, briefly surpassing the trillion shilling mark and adding roughly 266 billion shillings in shareholder wealth before closing the day at 997.6 billion shillings. This was mainly supported by foreign investor activity.
