Murang’a governor Irungu Kang'ata has called for investment in the manufacturing sector. Kang'ata says this is the best way to grow the economy and increase job opportunities for Kenyans. Speaking during the second day of the Murang'a investment conference, Kang’ata said developed countries have made significant progress by prioritizing investment through industralization. He noted that Murang’a county already has operational industries processing agricultural products such as coffee, milk, and tea, and emphasized that there is still vast untapped potential that can generate employment for thousands of youth if the available resources are fully utilized.
