NAROK STAKEHOLDERS EMBRACE ALTERNATIVE JUSTICE SYSTEM TO TACKLE LAND DISPUTES PEACEFULLY
Stakeholders drawn from Loita and Mara areas in Narok county have been sensitized on the Alternative Justice System (AJS) to help resolve the surging land cases in the law courts.
Jemimmah Aluda, from AJS, who led the three-day workshop held in a Narok hotel, said their aim was to impart knowledge to the residents on other alternative ways of resolving land issues instead of relying on the court system only.
She said the stakeholders were taken through the AJS requirements and encouraged to practice resolving their cases this way to avoid incurring a lot of cost and wasting a lot of time through the court system
