GBV AND FEMICIDE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED IN KILIFI
In a bid to end femicide and Gender-Based Violence, Kilifi County Woman Member of Parliament Gertrude Mbeyu has launched an awareness campaign dubbed ‘Say no to GBV and Femicide’, which aims at empowering members of the public on case reporting procedures.
Speaking during the launch, Mbeyu condemned the compromise of cases through kangaroo courts, where perpetrators make agreements with the victims’ families.
