Even as health facilities in various parts of the country face a shortage of essential medicines, drugs worth 90.5 billion shillings went to waste, rotting in stores. While speaking in Mombasa during the 45th Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya conference, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale raised concerns that the government will require an additional 600 million shillings to destroy the expired medicines.
