ATWOLI CALLS FOR NAIROBI EXPANSION AS RAILWAY ROUTE SPARKS DEBATE

The Central Organization of Trade Unions Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, has called on Kenyans to allow for the expansion of Nairobi, even into areas that were previously protected, saying this will help ease movement in and out of the city. His remarks come amid the ongoing plans for the construction of the railway line from Karen, through the Nairobi National Park, to the Nairobi railway station, which have been met with resistance from the residents. Atwoli says the city is growing,g therefore the need to meet the demand for Housing and social amenities.
