Pesalink and The Fintech Alliance have signed a new partnership aimed at accelerating inclusive digital payments in Kenya. The agreement, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, is expected to strengthen collaboration between banks and fintechs, by easing integration, promoting account to account transfers, and supporting a more interoperable payment ecosystem. Despite the country’s advanced payments landscape, only 27 fintechs are currently integrated with Pesalink. The new partnership seeks to expand that number significantly through joint working groups, industry awareness campaigns, and alignment on security and operational standards. The Fintech Alliance, says the initiative is designed to unify the ecosystem under a shared platform that makes digital transactions faster, more affordable, and more accessible.
