It was a sigh of relief for Persons Living with Disabilities in West Pokot County, after a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) launched the distribution of 300 wheelchairs and 100 walking crutches to support their mobility and improve their livelihoods.
The programme spearheaded by the Hope Mobility organization began on Monday and the distribution will go on for three days, targeting the beneficiaries estimated to be 400 from across the six sub-counties and they include women, men, children, and those with cerebral palsy.
