Scars of Gen Z protest: Family mourns 23-year-old killed in demo

Tragedy has struck Karachuonyo village in Homa Bay as the family of Reagan Omondi, 23, mourns his death. Omondi succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during Wednesday’s Gen Z protests in Nairobi.

He was shot twice by police along Ngong Road and later died on Thursday night at Kianda Level 4 Hospital in Kibera. His family is now demanding justice, as rights groups raise alarm over the rising number of protest-related deaths.
