Senators have supported the 415bn shillings equitable share allocation for counties for the 2025/26 financial year as they considered the mediated version of the Division of Revenue Bill. The senators who convened a special sitting to dispense with the matter termed the allocation progressive as it was an addition of 28bn shillings from 387bn this financial year. The senators however stressed the need for devolved units to improve on own source revenue generation.
