A Nairobi Court has released Suleiman Bilali and Robert Otiti on a personal bond of 50,000, declining a police request to detain them over alleged incitement to protest. The duo who had been arrested on Tuesday and presented in Court Thursday had been accused of cybercrime misuse by inciting members of the public through their X account to occupy the statehouse on June 25th. Delivering the ruling, trial Magistrate Dolphina Alego ruled that the Investigating officer had not produced compelling reasons to warrant their detainment for 10days.
