Journalists Fred Mochama of KBC and Victor Mogoa of K24 found themselves on the receiving end of an assault by alleged goons hired by a private developer to man a building on a disputed parcel of land. The two journalists had gone to cover Chokaa residents who had taken to the streets protesting against the controversy and the redirecting of the drainage system, which has left most of them living in poor hygienic conditions. The goons are reported to have robbed them of a camera, a tripod stand and a smartphone.
