Education Principal Secretary Prof. Julius Bittok says the country is closing in on a 1:25 student-teacher ratio.
Speaking at Ossen High School in Baringo during a Thanksgiving event for last year’s KCSE results, the PS revealed that over 100,000 teachers will be hired by 2026 under the Kenya Kwanza administration. An additional 24,000 teachers are set to be recruited this financial year to support the Competency-Based Curriculum. Prof. Bittok also announced a KSh 15 million allocation to complete the school’s administration block, highlighting ongoing investments in education infrastructure.
