Kenya Union of post Post-Primary Education teachers (KUPPET), is calling on teachers to remain patient as they await the outcome of the union's meeting with the Teachers Service Commission by or before July 20th. The meeting is expected to finalize the 2025/2029 collective bargaining agreement, which includes demands for a salary increase of 50 to 100 percent, harmonization of house allowances, medical cover, promotions, and acting allowances. KUPPET insists it will not accept a non-monetary agreement, saying the previous 2016/2021 CBA failed to fully meet classroom teachers' expectations, warning that over 99000 teachers must benefit by the end of July
