MPs allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have vowed to urge the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula to call for an inquiry into the Saba Saba Demonstration that led to the death of 11 people. The MPs have also called on the Speaker to summon the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to explain the use of force and officers travelling in unmarked vehicles and covering their faces despite a court order compelling the National Police Service to wear their official uniform while conducting their duties during demonstrations. They further called for the international community to take action against high ranking government officials for Monday's event.
