Two key rulings have today reshaped the trajectory of the high-profile case involving the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old hawker Boniface Kariuki. In separate decisions by the Magistrate’s Court and the High Court, the legal fate of the two suspected police officers took markedly different turns after one was freed and the other detained for 14 days after which he will plead to murder charges.
