Manyata Member of Parliament Gitonga Mukunji and two others have been released from custody each on cash bail of three hundred thousand shillings or a bond of one million shillings by Kahawa Law Court. In consideration of health problems Senior Principal Magistrate Kipkemoi Koech directed that Mukunji and Setrah Thiga be taken to hospitals of their choice while the third respondent Peter Wanjiru be held in Muthaiga police station awaiting processing of cash bail. In the same court, thirty-six others arrested during the 25th June and 7 July demonstrations that happened in several counties were also arraigned on charges of terrorism, destruction of property and causing bodily harm to law enforcers.
