The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse has announced sweeping reforms under the 2025 National Policy on Alcohol, Drugs and Substance Abuse. Key among the changes is the proposal to raise the legal drinking age from 18 to 21 years, ban home delivery of alcohol and restrict bars from operating within 300 metres of schools, churches, and homes.
