Religious leaders in Malindi have joined calls for an immediate and inclusive national dialogue, warning that Kenya’s deepening political and social challenges demand urgent reconciliation efforts across all sectors of society.

Led by Malindi Catholic Bishop Willybard Lagho, the leaders also condemned talks of vote rigging, the abduction and forced disappearance of government critics and excessive use of force by the police against unarmed demonstrators.
