PARENTS URGED TO ENROLL CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Parents and guardians have been urged to stop hiding or neglecting children with disabilities and instead give them a chance at education, dignity, and growth.
This renewed call for action comes as the Rotary Club of Kirinyaga, under the leadership of President Winfred Muthoni Ndambirii, officially handed over a fully renovated and equipped special needs classroom at Gakuu Comprehensive School in Kirinyaga County.
The move marks a significant milestone in the journey toward inclusive education in rural areas, where access to proper learning facilities for children with disabilities remains limited.
“Many children with special needs are kept out of school due to stigma, misinformation, and the lack of a conducive learning environment. These children deserve an equal opportunity to learn and thrive. Our mission is to ensure no child is left behind because of a disability,” says Ndambiri
