Persons with disabilities rights groups are pushing for the streamlining of the PWDs act which was enacted in May 2025.In acknowledging the crucial role of the policy, the group say that the PWDs act, lacks clarity on the specific roles to be performed especially on resource mobilization. While leading the official launch of the policy in Nairobi, principal secretary Joseph Motari said they have already started implementing several key areas of the policy such as rolling out assistive devices through the disability council.
