Kenya and Tanzania are locked in a diplomatic standoff after Tanzania banned foreigners from certain business activities within its borders. Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi says President William Ruto and his Tanzanian counterpart, Samia Suluhu, are engaged in talks to resolve the dispute. Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui, however, warns that Kenya will consider sanctions on Tanzanian businesses in Kenya, but only as a last resort if diplomacy fails.
