One person was injured in Gilgil, Nakuru County as police dispersed a section of leaders allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The leaders who planned to stage a rally in Gilgil were blocked by police who shot in the air to disperse a gathering crowd of supporters. The DCP leaders accused the state of misusing the police, who blocked them for the fourth time in less than two months.
