The Kenya Council of church alliances and Ministries has welcomed the government’s recent policy shift to raise the legal drinking age from 18 to 21. The churches are now calling for full implementation of the proposals, including the restriction of access to alcohol in supermarkets, to contain rampant drug abuse in the country.
